To begin the High Holydays...
Join us at 8pm on Saturday 13th September, at Radlett Reform Synagogue for S'lichot, a very special evening of preparation for the High Holydays. We will begin with Havdalah the ceremony to end Shabbat and begin the last week of the Jewish year 5785.
As a preparation for Rosh Hashanah we will ceremonially change our regular scroll covers over to seasonal white mantles.
Rabbi Paul Freedman, Rabbi Cantor Gershon Silins and Choir Conductor Andrew Blankfield will lead us in the atmospheric S'lichot Service, a beautiful introduction to the High Holyday season, both its religious themes and its music.
All are welcome for this special time of contemplation and preparation, to sing along or simply relax and listen, as you prefer.
Singers, choir members, those who read music: you may like to preview the music below, but only if you are keen!
