This list is not intended to be exhaustive but will provide an idea of what help is available across Hertfordshire.

Children and young people who have special educational needs (SEN) do not necessarily have a disability. Some disabled children and young people do not have special educational needs. There is a lot of overlap between the two groups though.

The Local Offer for Hertfordshire -  lets parents and young people know what special educational needs and disabilities services are available in Hertfordshire, and who can access them. In addition to support with education, how to request an assessment, information is available about courses & activities, services such as dentists & doctors for children with complex needs, organisations supporting parents and carers of under 25's with SEND, financial support, health plans and more.

IPSEA - independent free provider offering legally based information, advice and support to help get the right education for children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs and disabilities.
