21 March - James’ Journey to Jerusalem
James' Journey to Jerusalem is a funny and somewhat sad "fairy tale" about the young man from a remote village in Africa who sets out on a religious pilgrimage to the "Holy Land". The state of Israel in the beginning of the 21st Century is not exactly the biblical "Holy Land" that James imagined. A combination of strict immigration laws, social injustices, cultural differences in a fast developing and materialistic society - all come together to make James' experience in the Holy Land very unholy, and totally different from the pilgrimage he set out to fulfil.
