We are a new committee who were formed to co-ordinate and initiate youth provision at services. We began in January and so far we have instigated the following:

1. Fortnightly pre-schoolers' Kabbalat Shabbat
2. Monthly Children’s Services – for ages 0-4 & 5-11
3. Early Friday night Family service with pasta dinner

We also ensure that the following are supported and advertised:

1. Termly Shabbat morning family services
2. Festival activities for children
3. The ever popular monthly Chavurah suppers
4. Chet Graduation Service
5. Yr 11 Kabbalat Torah service
6. HIGH HOLY DAYS children’s provision – which we’re currently developing to build on the excellent work of the last few years.

We now have children’s activities each week in Shul in the family corner and this role will also pass to the committee in the very near future. The committee offers their thanks to Karin Solomons for her work as the former Family Corner co-ordinator. We also have at least one family focused service each week, of every month, whether that be Friday or Saturday:

1st Shabbat of the month –children’s services
2nd & 4th Friday – Early Years Kabbalat Shabbat
3rd Friday – Musical Family Service and bring and share Chavurah Supper
5th Friday – Early Family Service with pasta supper

At all Children’s Services and Family services we now use our bespoke family prayerbook - Siddureinu, and during the HHD - Machzoreinu. The latest addition to this set is Haggadateinu for communal and family Sedarim. These service-books are specially designed for RBRS family services, but are so good that they are now being looked at by other synagogues. The committee would like to thank Rabbi Paul and Student Rabbi David, for all their hard work in putting them together. As the newest management team added to the Youth Provision in the Shul I would like to thank the whole committee for all their hard work so far and of course for the many more YEARS to come.
