Rabbis change name and aim
The Assembly of Rabbis – the professional body that links all Reform rabbis – has changed its name as part of a campaign to play a much greater role in British Jewry as a whole. Until now it has largely served as an in-house trade union for rabbis, whereas now it will seek to exert a national profile.As part of this new pro-active role, it voted at its Annual General Meeting to change its name to The Assembly of Reform Rabbis UK.
      
The AGM also saw Rabbi Dr Jonathan Romain (Maidenhead Synagogue) being re-elected for a second term as Chairman, with Rabbi Paul Freedman (Radlett & Bushey Reform Synagogue) as Vice-Chairman.

Radlett Stars at LBC Graduation

Leo Baeck Graduation

A total of 17 Leo Baeck College students graduated on Sunday 20th January – receiving their degrees and diplomas at this prestigious occasion, which was held at the New North London Synagogue in Finchley. Four Honorary Fellows were also appointed to the College at the ceremony. The awards covering Jewish Education (the Advanced Diploma in Professional Development and MA degree) are provided in conjunction with London Metropolitan University.

Chuppah Celebration

Under the ChuppahThe jigsaw has now been completed! Hannah and Josh Kutler celebrated their Chuppah at RBRS on Sunday 28th October when Rabbi Paul Freedman and Rabbi Neil Janes (the bride's brother) officiated at their wedding.

Josh has returned to California but Hannah has remained in the UK so that she can attend her sister's wedding which will take place in December. By the time Hannah returns to the United States in December she should have her work permit!
