Radlett & Bushey Reform Synagogue has a Rabbi, Community Student Rabbi and Youth Worker who, along with the Synagogue Council, guide our community.



Rabbi Paul Freedman

paulRabbi Paul Freedman has been the Rabbi of Radlett & Bushey Reform Synagogue since 2004.

He grew up in the Reform Movement, though he has also belonged to Liberal and Orthodox communities.

He studied Physics at Bristol University and then Education at Cambridge.

He taught at schools in Bristol, Bath and then Gloucester, where he was Head of Science of a large Comprehensive School, before entering Leo Baeck College to train for the rabbinate.

Student Rabbi David Mitchell

davidmDavid Mitchell is our Community Student Rabbi. He joined us in August 2006 to support Rabbi Paul and develop our Youth and family provision. As part of his role, David runs our Cheder and has already introduced a variety of exciting new ventures including a cutting-edge Cheder curriculum, Revolution (our Chanukkah residential weekend) and a teenage trip to Amsterdam. David is also involved in supporting Fusion (our youth clubs), adult education, leading services, and officiating at B'nei and B'not Mitzvah. David will become a full-time member of the RBRS rabbinic team from July 2009.
